A trade fair album full of memories and marking the start of our anniversary year.


It's January in Düsseldorf. It's winter outside and trade fair season inside: three days in which new products, discussions, catalogues and even coffee mugs set the pace. PSI 2026 was the kind of start to the year we love: loud, warm and inspiring – not to mention occasionally athletic (anyone who has ever had to reset their computer just before the hall opened will know what we mean 😉). While we showcase the latest HALFAR® products at our booth, something else happens every year: Without even noticing, we take a little trip through time, revisiting our PSI years. HALFAR® has been a regular at PSI for over two decades. Looking at photos from different years side by side, you can see not only bags, but also growth, the spirit of the times and team spirit, as well as new ideas about how strong bags can support brands.

The 2000s – entry into the promotional products market.

The early 2000s: at that time still pro design, more paper and fewer screens. Sample lists, folders, stacks of business cards and fax machines. And, of course, bags that had to be robust, practical, reliable and unique above all else.

The 2010s - with a new brand design, new materials and new finishes.

The promotional products brand of the manufacturer Halfar System GmbH comes of age. Prodesign becomes HALFAR. Product design became stronger and individualisation became more important. Advertising is no longer an optional extra, but an integral part of the concept. It's clear to see: a strong bag from HALFAR® can do much more than just carry things – it's a stage for powerful brands.

The 2020s - sustainability, circular thinking and responsibility.

Today, the market is thinking ahead and we are keeping pace. Durability, material concepts and the circular economy are not just topics of conversation; they are in concrete demand. This is precisely why customer events like the PSI are so valuable to us: they provide both a reality check and a think tank.

Then there's that special feeling: in 2026, we will celebrate our 40th anniversary. A lot has happened since the first bag was made, but our core values have remained the same: providing strong bag solutions that can withstand everyday use and support brands for a long time. To mark the start of our anniversary year, we are taking a further step into the digital realm. With our new configurator, customers and interested parties can now quickly and easily create designs and calculate offers online at any time. Retailers can also generate offers in their own name for third parties (their customers), including individual surcharges. Embroidery, transfer printing and screen printing are all supported.

PSI 2026 was both a review and a new beginning. That's exactly how we want our anniversary year to feel personal, curious and full of exciting new ideas for bags!
